The main celebration of the city, the International Carnival in Tsarskoye Selo, occurs
during the incredible "white nights" season, usually in June. During this time
the parks of Tsarskoye Selo are especially beautiful and fresh.
The participants parade down the city streets to offer theater shows, concerts,
exhibitions, competitions, and finally the great fireworks which make Carnival the
favorite holiday of the inhabitants of the city and many of its neighbors and friends.
With each year there are more and more foreign representatives from Pushkin's twin
cities, with representatives from Great Britain, Denmark, Germany, Greece, Spain, Italy,
Poland, the USA and Finland. The Town of Muses offers all a warm and hearty greeting.
