The Lyceum - Museum
2 Sadovaya Street
Inaugurated in 1811 by Emperor Alexander I, the Lyceum functioned as one of the leading
educational establishments of Russia. It was created with the goal of "education of
youth, especially those who might work in important state services". One can special
atmosphere of the days when Alexander Pushkin and other talented young men studied in
anticipation of honorable service to their Fatherland.
The rooms of the museum host many exhibitions, literature and musical evenings, meetings,
conferences, lectures and concerts. Each year on the 19th of October, the anniversary of
the establishment of the Lyceum is celebrated as part of the Autumn in Tsarskoye Selo
Festival.
Excursions and guided tours are available.

Alexander Pushkin Country House - Museum
2 Pushkinskaya Street
Here in the country house of Anna Kitaeva, the poet Alexander Pushkin and his young wife
Natalia Nikolaevna spent the summer of 1831. The exhibition illustrates the life and
creative work of Pushkin. A replica of his study can be found on the second floor.

Chistyakov Art Museum
23 Moskovskoye Road
The memorial exhibition devoted to the well known artist and teacher, reviews the pages of
his life and creative work in Tsarskoye Selo. The museum is located in an elegant house, a
unique monument of Russian wooden architecture. In addition to tours and excursions,
concerts are occasionally held here as well.

Museum of Local History
28 Leontyevskaya Street
Exhibitions in this museum depict a variety of the city's history and lifestyle, including
"Return to Tsarskoye Selo", Pushkin and Pavlovsk during the Great Patriotic
War", "Relics of World War I 1914-1918", Fedorovsky Township",
"Russian Scouts", and "Replication of typical Russian Inn". The museum
stop offers 37 theme lectures as well as exciting guided walking tours of the town, each
reviving the moments of the past. The museum is especially interesting for children of all
ages.
