The Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) of Pushkin and Pavlovsk was founded in 1994 by fifteen enterprises. Today it integrates about 300 enterprises, firms and organizations and their 20 000 employees. The purpose of the Pushkin-town CCI ( under the CHARTER of CCI ) is to provide assistance to the region's economy development and creation of favorable conditions for business. The CCI activity is focused on extension and strengthening of interregional cooperation, and also on direct ties and development of opportunities for Russian organizations with foreign partners. According to Law of Russian Federation No. 5340-1 from July\07\93, CCI is a non-state and noncommercial organization, joining Russian enterprises and Russian businessmen.
During more than 20 years of work the Chamber has amassed a wealth of experience in such fields as examination, estimation, certification, control of quantity, quality, completeness, technical condition of goods in process of their use.
Department of Examination, Certification and Expert
Experts of the department render the following kind of services:
1. Expert examination of goods on their identity:
a code of the goods according to TN VED (Russian version of Harmonized System Classification of Products by Activities);
the countries of origin of the goods;
quantity and completeness of the goods;
quality of the goods;
determination of changes in value of goods processed within the customs zone.
2. Identification expertise of goods and technologies for the purpose of export control.
3. Results of laboratory researches.
4. Certification of documents on foreign trade activities.
5. Expertise in claims drafting for:
presenting claims to suppliers on delivery of production which does not comply with requirements of the contract (shortage, inadequate quality, incompleteness, etc.);
revealing the reasons of the goods damage and its extent caused during transportation or in an insurance case;
defining conformity of the presented goods to a sample of purchase, the data of its marking by results of organoleptic analysis and laboratory research;
identification of production to a sample of purchase or its description in order to protect manufacturers against falsification of their production.

Advertising - Publishing Department
Publishing of a weekly advertising newspaper and brochures and delivering them to the customers.
The development of new and improvement of the existing technologies and goods. Engineering-technical facilities for the scientific and industrial enterprises. The conceptual decision of complicated and non-standard problems for customers.

Department of Information and analysis
Experts of the department render consulting and informational support to enterprises and their foreign trade activities and carry out the following kind of services:
providing information and references to and about domestic and foreign organizations, commercial and industrial chambers, consulates and other organizations assisting in development of business,
distributing and research of business information on a basis infra-structures and information resources of CCI of the Russian Federation system,
distributing information on members of CCI in the Russian Federation and abroad through the international databases,
providing reference information from informational-legal systems,
search for potential partners in Russia and abroad,
providing information on exhibitions, fairs, conferences and seminars to be spent in Russia and abroad,
rendering assistance in registration, reorganization and liquidation of enterprises of various form of ownership,

sending businessmen and delegations on foreign business trips,
accrediting of representation of a foreign legal person at CCI of the Russian Federation,

Other departments of CCI carry out:
Consideration of disputes between commercial entities by the Arbitration court at CCI;

Attracting investments to Pushkin is another field of CCI concern.
Today Russian and foreign CCIs cooperate closely in such fields as information exchange, development of joint projects in investment and of programs on staff training.

Bartachevich visited the CCI of Pushkin and Pavlovsk. The issues, relating tourism
development in Russia and the Baltics, have been brought up during the meeting with the
CCI board. A director of a non-commercial partnership “Silver Ring of Russia” Nikolay
Ievlev and Mikhail Bartachevich drew up plans for joint tour itineraries in the North-West
of Russia and Lithuania.
the 20th annual Russian Festival was held in Kalamazoo, Michigan (USA).
As always, the festival was culturally rich and extensive. For 23 years, Kalamazoo and Pushkin (Tsarskoye Selo) have maintained a sister-city relationship.
The all day festival took place on November 7 at the Fetzer Business Center, Western Michigan University.
The delegation from Pushkin totaled 23 people. Representatives from our city took part in the program performing Russian music and songs. Russian Bard Boris Aganov sang several songs, and was accompanied by Victoria Vouba on her violin. Anton Vakulenko (age 8) sang in both languages, and Maxim Vakulenko recited poetry of Alexander Sergeivich Pushkin in both languages as well. Victoria Vouba played beautiful Russian music on violin and musically support our performers. Pushkin artists Larisa Boeva, Sergei Artemiev, and Vera Kacher brought and displayed over seventy paintings both during the Festival and on Friday at the “Kalamazoo Art Hop”.
Several delegation members visited similar Kalamazoo businesses, and attended a church service. Our members were hosted in private homes by Kalamazoo families. Members of the CCI of Pushkin and Pavlovsk Board of Directors participated in a meeting with the Kalamazoo Chamber of Commerce, and Southwest Michigan First, a regional economic development organization.
Kalamazoo Mayor Bobbie Hopewell, and City Manager Jim Ritsema, offered a welcome address on behalf of the host Partnership, congratulating the residents of both cities on a long relationship and this significant anniversary event.
The Pushkin delegation was presented with documented congratulations and remarks from State Representative Jon Hadley, State Senator Margaret O’Brien, and US Congressman Fred Upton, without exception stating the importance of friendship and continued cooperation between the citizens of our two countries..

On 17th of October, 2014 a ceremonial reception dedicated to the anniversary of the CCI of Pushkin and Pavlovsk took place in the Grand column hall of the Paul’s palace. Representatives of public authorities of Saint-Petersburg, people of culture and art, as well as regional and foreign partners of the Chamber took part in the celebration. The most honorable guests were the members of the CCI – the workers of small, medium and big business – for which the Chamber was founded in 1994.
